Townsend in the city of Santa Ana. I met with <br />Forensic Scientist F. Burke, OCDA Investigator D. Fulcher, Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) <br />Detective R. Wilson, and SAPD Sergeant P. Craft. Senior Forensic Specialist K. Cogert was also <br />present at the scene. SAPD Sergeant P. Craft informed me a radio code was called out for officers <br />involved in a gun battle and a female suspect was down in the area of 805 S. Townsend. Two SAPD <br />officers were involved in the incident. <br />The location was an alley that ran north and south. Multi-unit complexes with detached garages were on <br />the east side (S. Raitt Street) and west side (S. Townsend Street) of the alley. <br />Two marked SAPD units were parked in the alley. Unit #854 was a Ford Crown Victoria <br />(CA: 1226270) and was parked along the east side of the alley and faced north. The engine was off, the <br />doors were closed, and the front windows were rolled down. <br />Unit #880 was a Ford Crown Victoria (CA:1226215) and was parked along the east side of the alley, <br />faced north, and was behind Unit #854.
