Townsend for crime scene investigation on an <br />officer involved shooting. I arrived at 0815 hours and began photographing the scene as the <br />Orange County Fire Authority Paramedics arrived to render aid to the female suspect who was <br />face down in the driveway. Her head was pointed east and her feet were pointed west. <br />Two marked Santa Ana Police Department police vehicles were on the east side of the alley <br />facing north. Cartridge cases were located south and west of the vehicles and a gray plastic <br />replica gun was on the ground south of the suspect point of rest. As the Paramedics removed <br />her clothing while rendering aid, I observed a used hypodermic needle tucked in the her bra <br />along with a small folded wad of cash . She had apparent gunshot wounds to the left and right <br />sides of her upper chest.
