Santa Ana PD 2013-17495: O1S by #2884 Page 11 of 17 <br />and I were assigned to canvass apartment complex buildings 805 S. Townsend Street and 809 <br />S. Townsend Street. Each of these apartment complexes are two story buildings. <br />809 S. Townsend Street, 1111 Hours <br />-Apartment #6 <br />Rosa Garcia told us she was in bed at about 800 hours this morning. She got out of bed when <br />she heard the sound of several gunshots. She looked outside from her apartment and saw <br />several of her neighbors come out of their apartment. She did not go outside and did not see <br />anything further. <br />No statement was taken from Garcia's young children, ages 2, 8, and 9. <br />Apartment #7 <br />Esperanza Orduna explained that she is in the process of moving out of her apartment. She <br />told us that she arrived back to the apartment at about 0830 hours. Orduna explained that at <br />that time, the alley was already blocked off by officers. She did not see anything further. <br />Apartment #8 <br />Mirna Reyes told us she was asleep in her bedroom this morning when she was awakened by <br />the sound of about 8 gunshots. She did not go outside and did not see anything further. <br />Mirna explained that her three teenage sons were also home at the time of the <br />shooting. However, they left the apartment prior to our arrival. Mirna stated that her sons were <br />also awakened by the sound of the gunshots. Mirna stated that her sons remained in the <br />apartment after the shooting. <br />Sofia Gonzalez explained that she is a friend of the residents and slept over last <br />night. Gonzalez told us she was asleep on the living room sofa this morning when she was <br />awakened by the sound of about 8 gunshots. She did not go outside to investigate the <br />gunshots. <br />Apartment #9 <br />There was no response. <br />Apartment #10 <br />Maria Gutierrez told us she was asleep in her bedroom this morning when she was awakened <br />by the sound of an unknown number of gunshots. Gutierrez stated this occurred at about 0800 <br />hours. Maria stated she did not go outside to investigate the gunshots. <br />Miriam Silva explained that she shares a bedroom with her sons, Luis and Miguel. She told us <br />she was awakened this morning by the sound of about 7 gunshots.
