Santa Ana PD 2013-17495: Supplemental Report by #2569 Page 2 of2 <br />Upon arrival a subject, later identified as Jessica Gonzalez, was lying in the alley. Medics from the <br />Orange County Fire Authority were treating Gonzalez. At the request of Medic Micah McAllister #4594 <br />I removed the handcuffs from Gonzalez's wrists and placed the handcuffs on a marked patrol vehicle <br />next to where Gonzalez was being treated by the medics. While Gonzalez was lying on the ground I <br />observed a folded up monetary bill on her chest . The bill was folded in a shape similar to a triangle . <br />At approximately 0840 hours I followed Care Ambulance #299 as it transported Gonzalez to UCI <br />Medical Center in the city of Orange. I arrived at UC I Medical Center at 0848 hours. Gonzalez was <br />ta.ken to Trauma Room A. <br />Medical staff treated Gonzalez . pronounced Gonzalez deceased at 0855 hours . <br /> stated that Gonzalez died from a gunshot wound to the left ventrical. <br />While was present medical staff turned Gonzalez onto her si de and I was able to observ e a <br />tattoo on the middle portion of her upper back that read,. I was also able to observe a <br />tattoo on the right side of Gonzalez's upper back that was a <br />similar to a . <br />The Care Ambulance EMT's were identified as Kevin Sanchez and Scott Carlson . <br />At 0930 hours EMT Sanchez handed me a folded $5 bill that he stated fell off of Gonzalez's person <br />while she was being treated in the ambulance. This bill appeared similar to the bill I saw on Gonza lez 's <br />person while she was lying in the alley. <br />The OCFA Paramedics were identified as Bary i c Hunter #5197 and Micah McAllister #4594 . <br />At approximately 0900 hours Ofc. Morton #1091 from the Orange Police Department arrived at the <br />hospital asking whether or not Gonzalez had been identified and if so , was Gonzal ez a match to a <br />homicide suspect out of the city of Orange . At the time we had not been able to positively identify <br />Gonzalez. Ofc. Morton was able to show me pictures of tattoos that matched the tattoos I observed <br />on Gonzalez's person. I informed Ofc. Morton and Sgt. Amat #1293 from the Orange Police <br />Department that we were unable to make contact with Gonzalez until the Coroner arrived o n scen e. <br />Ofc. Morton and Sgt. Amat cleared the scene . <br />At 0938 hours hospital staff moved Gonzalez from Trauma Room A to DH 12 -bed 16. <br />At 1010 hours D.A. Investigator Kory Degraffenreid arrived at the UCI Medical Center. <br />At 1030 hours Inv. Jeff Launi with the Santa Ana Police Department arrived at UCI Medical Center . <br />At 1204 hours I handed the $5 bindle to Deputy Coroner Beasley . Depu t y Coroner Bea sley unfolded <br />the $5 bill and discovered that it was empty.
