Narrative: Narrative <br />Monday, March 11th, 2019 @ 2114 Hours: <br />Santa Ana Police Sergeant J. Rodriguez #2836 notified me that an Officer involved shooting occurred in the city of <br />Santa Ana. Sergeant Rodriguez requested that I respond to 1800 S Evergreen to assist with the investigation. <br />2245 Hours: <br />I arrived at the crime scene and checked in with Officer J. Peralta #3602 who was assigned as the crime scene scribe <br />and was maintaining a personnel log. <br />2325 Hours: <br />Members of the Santa Ana Police Department and I attended a briefing provided by Sgt. O. Lizardi #2629, assigned <br />the scene supervisor. Also present were members of the Orange County District Attorney¶s Office Shooting Team. <br />Upon conclusion of the briefing, I was teamed up with Orange County District Attorney Investigator B. Sheldon to <br />handle the officer processing. <br />2353 Hours: <br />I cleared the scene and responded to the station. <br />0231 Hours: <br />The officer processing was conducted inside the Professional Standards conference room located on the fourth floor <br />of the Santa Ana Police Department. Orange County District Attorney Investigator B. Sheldon, Orange County Crime <br />Lab Forensic Specialists R. Frausto, SAPD Sergeant M. Macchiaroli, SAPD Corporal S. Esquivel, Attorney Corey <br />Glave and Detective E. Solorio were present. <br />Detective Solorio was wearing a navy blue polo shirt with ³SANTA ANA POLICE´printed in white letters over the left <br />breast. ³POLICE´approximately 3 inches in height and ³GANG DETAIL´approximately 2 inches in height was printed <br />in white ink on the upper/mid back of the polo shirt. There was an earpiece resting on his left shoulder and a body <br />worn camera affixed to his chest. Solorio was wearing blue denim jeans, black boots, a black watch on his left wrist <br />and a black nylon SAM Browne belt. The items on his belt were as follows: <br />-Magazine Pouch with 2 .40 caliber Glock magazines. <br />- Pac set (radio) holster and radio. <br />-Taser holster and Taser <br />-Tourniquet <br />-Pepper Spray <br />- Handcuff Case <br />-Collapsible baton with holder <br />-A thigh holster containing a Glock model 22 .40 caliber handgun with serial number BDWC106. A TLR1 <br />Streamlight was mounted under the barrel of the handgun. There was a Santa Ana Police Department metal badge <br />attached to the front of the holster. <br />Forensic Specialist Frausto examined and photographed the Glock 22 handgun in Detective Solorio¶s holster. The <br />gun contained 1 cartridge in the chamber with the head stamp ³Winchester 40 S & W´and 12 cartridges in the <br />SAPD Personnel:Solorio, Ernesto 3249 <br />Involvement:Arresting <br />SAPD Personnel:Rodriguez, Julian 2836 <br />Involvement:Report Approver <br />Santa Ana PD 2019-05804 4 of 5
