<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ARTICLE IV <br /> <br /> 4.0 SALARIES <br /> <br /> <br /> 4.1 Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a basic compensation plan for all <br /> full-time personnel who are now employed or will in the future be employed in any of the <br /> designated classifications of employment represented by the Union as listed in this <br /> Agreement and its attachments. <br /> <br /> 4.2 Salary Schedule. The basic salary schedule, attached hereto in a matrix format as Exhibit <br /> "A," and made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein, provides numerous salary <br /> rate ranges, each comprised of seven (7) steps or rates of pay. <br /> <br /> The respective rate ranges are identified by a three digit number. The steps within each <br /> range are identified by the letters "AAA" through "E" inclusive, with Step "AAA" being <br /> the lowest step in the range. The purpose of each step and the length of service required <br /> for advancement to the next higher step within a particular salary rate range are set forth <br /> in Exhibit "A." <br /> <br /> The assignment of classifications to salary rate ranges is listed in Exhibit B, which is <br /> attached and made a part hereof as though set forth herein. <br /> <br /> 4.3 Salaries. <br /> <br /> A. Effective January 1, 2007, Miscellaneous employees covered by this Agreement <br /> shall contribute 2% of their salary toward the employer cost of the 2.7% at 55 <br /> benefit. To the extent permitted by Ca1PERS and Internal Revenue Service <br /> regulations, this 2% contribution shall be implemented through payroll deduction <br /> on a pre-tax basis. <br /> <br /> Effective January 1, 2008, Miscellaneous employees covered by this Agreement <br /> shall contribute an additional 2 % of their salary (for a total of 4%) toward the <br /> employer cost of the 2.7% at 55 benefit. To the extent permitted by Ca1PERS and <br /> Internal Revenue Service regulations, this additional 2% contribution shall be <br /> implemented through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis. <br /> <br /> Effective July 1, 2009, Miscellaneous employees covered by this Agreement shall <br /> contribute an additional 2.3 % of their salary (for a total of 6.3%) toward the <br /> employer cost of the 2.7% at 55 benefit. To the extent permitted by Ca1PERS and <br /> Internal Revenue Service regulations, this additional 2.3% contribution shall be <br /> implemented through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis. <br /> <br /> Effective October 1, 2010, Miscellaneous employees covered by this Agreement <br /> shall contribute an additional 1.7 % of their salary (for a total of 8.0%) toward the <br /> employer cost of the 2.7% at 55 benefit.
