• RESOLUTION NO. 2010-045 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA IN SUPPORT OF "BUSINESS FRIENDLY <br />PRINCIPLES" AS PART OF SCAG'S DEVELOPMENT OF A <br />SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ECONOMIC GROWTH <br />STRATEGY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Whereas, City of Santa Ana is a member of the Southern California Association of <br />Governments (SCAG) who is engaged in the development of a Southern California <br />Economic Growth Strategy; <br />Whereas, since economists agree that the financial recovery for our region will be slow <br />and challenging, the City supports working with SCAG and other key economic <br />stakeholders to analyze the current trends, identify obstacles to economic growth and <br />• promote incentives and public policies that will improve the Southern California <br />economy; <br />Whereas, as a municipality, Santa Ana has a business friendly environment and has <br />numerous programs in place to encourage economic growth within its community; <br />NOW, therefore be it resolved that, as part of the development of a Southern California <br />Economic Growth Strategy, the City supports SCAG's efforts to create a region-wide <br />work plan that will be communicated to state and local officials to assist in our area's <br />economic recovery. <br />1. Principle One - Make economic development a priority <br />2. Principle Two - Expand business partnerships in the community. <br />3. Principle Three - Promote business friendly processes and procedures. <br />4. Principle Four - Attractive business investment to the region. <br />ADOPTED this 20th day of September, 2010. <br />• <br />Mayor
