Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to <br />execute consulting agreements for temporary engineering and technical support services with PDS <br />Technical Services an amount not to exceed $300,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Staff has solicited proposals for temporary engineering services. These services will augment <br />the City staff and are required to complete the design and construction of the City's Capital <br />Improvement projects due to funding deadlines. <br />Request for Proposals were sent to several firms. Three proposals were received: from PDS <br />Technical Services, Adecco Engineering/Technical, and Aerotek, Inc., and were reviewed and <br />rated by an evaluation committee comprised of City staff. The following is the rating results: <br />FIRM <br />PDS Technical Services <br />Adecco Engineering/Technical <br />Aerotek, Inc. <br />LOCATION SCORE <br />Costa Mesa 89 <br />Newport Beach 87 <br />Santa Ana 76 <br />It is recommended that the firm of PDS Technical Services be retained for the required services. <br />PDS Technical has skilled personnel, client satisfaction and the lowest competitive overhead <br />rates. <br />25F-1
