Staff Comments <br />Jay Trevino announced the new commissioner appointment, Patrick Yrarrazaval. <br />Mr. Yrarrazaval is scheduled to be sworn in on July 15, 2008 and present at the <br />July 28 Planning Commission meeting. <br />5. Planning Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Mill commented on the need to incorporate bicycle racks in new <br />projects and to encourage the development of bicycle paths. <br />Commissioner Betancourt emphasized that the City should be as bicycle and <br />pedestrian friendly as possible and that the development of the Pacific Electric <br />right-of-way should also include well-landscaped bicycle and pedestrian facilities. <br />6. Excuse of Absences <br />Motioned by Commissioner Betancourt and seconded by Commissioner Mill, the <br />Commission unanimously voted to excuse the absence of Commissioner <br />Gartner. <br />7.
