Adopt a resolution approving Site Plan Review No. 2008-05. <br />Principal Planner Sergio Klotz presented the staff report and recommendation. <br />J <br />No written communications were received, <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Park Santiago resident Art Pedroza expressed concerns about the market <br />viability of the proposed project, potential for traffic impacts on the Park Santiago <br />neighborhood, lack of outreach in Spanish and the potential for shade and <br />shadow impacts from the proposed towers to the neighborhood. <br />Bill Hammerstein, the applicant's representative, outlined the outreach process <br />that has been conducted during the previous eight years of the project's <br />entitlement. <br />Commissioner Betancourt commented on sustainability of project, installation of <br />bicycle racks and consideration of landscape trees on roof deck(s). <br />Mr. Hammerstein commented on the auction held on November 8, 2008. <br />Construction Engineer Les Vlieger addressed sustainable building projects. <br />Commissioner Mill requested assurance that units would not be converted as <br />rentals.
