PUBLISHED IN THE ORANGE COUNTY REPORTER: June 15, 2007 <br />PUBLICLY NOTICED: June 15, 2007 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend that the City Council: <br />1. Approve and adopt the Negative Declaration for Environmental Review No. <br />2004-158. <br />2. Adopt an ordinance approving Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2007-02. <br />3. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2007-07 as <br />conditioned. <br />Associate Planner Ann Ni provided the staff report and recommendation. <br />Commission discussion ensued regarding lease options, rental of furnished or <br />unfurnished units, clarification on architectural design, and transient-resident <br />residential use. Commission also received clarification on the developer's <br />requirement to pay a fair share contribution for traffic signal improvements. <br />Public Works representative Taig Higgins provided information regarding traffic <br />signal survey. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Applicant Robb Cerruti spoke in support of the project. <br />Commissioner Mill requested that staff contact the bakery property owner to <br />clean up the property located to the south of Harbor Boulevard on Kent Street. <br />Commissioner Alderete inquired about efforts to address remaining unpermitted <br />transient occupancy hotels throughout the city. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />MOTION: Recommend that the City Council: <br />1.
