Piping in the ground (California Plumbing Code Section 314.3). <br />Section 314.3 of the Plumbing Code is amended to read as follows: <br />314.3. Piping in the ground shall be laid on a firm bed for its entire length. <br />Building drains, sewers and storm drain piping systems in the ground, and <br />designed and approved at less than one (1) percent grade, shall be laid on <br />a continuous firm bed, certified by a registered soils engineer as having a <br />compaction level of not less than ninety (90) percent density.
