• KO 4/12/07
RESOLUTION NO. 2007-019
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT NO. 2007-04 TO ALLOW A BAIL BOND USE AT
801 NORTH ROSS STREET, SUITE A
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds,
determines and declares as follows:
A. The applicant is requesting Conditional Use Permit No. 2007-04 to allow a
bail bond use at the property located at 801 North Ross Street, Suite A.
B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on April 9,
2007, on Conditional Use Permit No. 2007-04 to allow a bail bond use at
the property located at 801 North Ross Street, Suite A.
• C. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-313.5(m) requires a conditional use
permit for bail bond uses within the Professional (P) zone district.
D. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-638 authorizes the Planning
Commission to grant a conditional use permit upon making certain
findings.
Will the proposed use provide a service or facility which will
contribute to the general well being of the neighborhood or the
community?
The proposed bail bond use is an integral part of the justice
system and provides a service to ensure a long established
right of every citizen. Therefore, the proposed use will
contribute to the general well being of the community. While
bail bond establishments are regulated by the California
Department of Insurance, conditions have been placed on
the operations that will mitigate any potential impacts
created by the use and ensure that the use will not
negatively affect the community and the surrounding
neighborhoods.

Resolution No. 2007-019
