Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non-Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by the <br />funded pro ram, named above, during the 12-month contract period. <br />3000 Persons <br />II. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />l he program provides free bilingual after-school homework help in all school subjects by offering tutoring services to all <br />Santa Ana students in grades K-12 a*. the two library sites (I'vlain Library anc: Newhope Library). Tutors wore[ with <br />individual students to help them understand and complete ^ornework assignments, as well as assisting students who are <br />having dif`icuities with basic read;ng and math shills. Students receive personal attention and encouragement in a <br />frendiy and supportive envirunrner t, thereby deve;oping a love cf ;earn ng :nut enables ;hem to improve their own <br />academic sLccess. <br />Tne prograrn provides: <br />• Free homework help for all Santa Ara students (54,580 K-12 grade), partic.;larly targeting, students cnro:led in scncols <br />;ender the Title I mogr:m; <br />• Qua,'i`icd bilingual Mors; <br />• Access to computers and the Internet ;o fill the techr.ofogical gap between schcois and homes, <br />• nteractive acadernic enharccrnent through educational software; <br />• Computer workshops on various top cs, such as basic co•ripLI ar skills, internet, and Microsoft Office applications- <br />Operat"wi Hours: <br />Main Library: <br />h4anday to-husdry: 3:00 p.m_ tc 8:CC p.m. <br />Saturday: 12:CC p.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />Newhopo Library Learning Center: <br />Monday to Thursday: 2:00 p.m, to 7 CC p.m. <br />Saturday: 12:00 p.m. to 4:70 p_rr. <br />Te'a' hours c` opwafior:: 48 hours per week. <br />[Both Lcaming Centers arcs open 50 weeks, 2,400 ho;irs a year. <br />Schedule of Performance <br />Estimate the number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12-month <br />contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
