• Koo - 9/16/03 <br />RESOLUTION N0.2003-36 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT NO. 2003-19 TO ALLOW A PROFESSIONAL <br />TRADE SCHOOL AT 525 NORTH CABRILLO DRIVE, <br />SUITE 150 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Conditional Use Permit No. 2003-19 came before the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Santa Ana for a duly noticed public hearing on <br />September 22, 2003. <br />B. The applicant is requesting approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 2003- <br />19 to allow a professional trade school at 525 North Cabrillo Drive, Suite <br />150. <br />C. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-313.5 (c) authorizes trade and <br />professional schools in a Professional (P) zone with a Conditional Use <br />Permit. <br />D. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-638 authorizes the Planning <br />Commission to grant a conditional use permit upon making certain <br />findings. <br />1. Will the proposed use provide a service or facility, which will <br />contribute to the general well being of the neighborhood or the <br />community? <br />The proposed trade/professional school facility, as <br />conditioned, will contribute to the general well being of the <br />neighborhood and the community by providing an additional <br />educational opportunity for residents and local businesses <br />requiring psychological training. <br />2. Will the proposed use under the circumstances of the particular <br />case be detrimental to the health, safety, or general welfare of <br />persons residing or working in the vicinity? <br />The proposed trade/professional school facility will not be <br />detrimental to the general welfare and safety of the <br />surrounding businesses and residents. The conditions of <br />approval limit the size of total classroom area to prevent a <br />Resolution No. 2003-36 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
