• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-27 <br />Koo - 7/29/03 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT NO. 2003-14 TO ALLOW THE OPERATION <br />OF A TRUCK TERMINAL AND IMPOUND YARD AT 2550 <br />SOUTH GARNSEY STREET <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Conditional Use Permit No. 2003-14 came before the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Santa Ana for a duly noticed public hearing on <br />July 28, 2003. <br />• <br />B. The applicant is requesting approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 2003- <br />14 allow the operation of a truck terminal and impound yard at 2550 South <br />Garnsey Street per Section 41-472.5(1) of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />(SAMC). <br />C. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-638 authorizes the Planning <br />Commission to grant a conditional use permit upon making certain <br />findings. <br />1. Will the proposed use provide a service or facility, which will <br />contribute to the general well being of the neighborhood or the <br />community? <br />The proposed truck terminal and impound yard will provide a <br />service to the community by providing vehicle towing <br />services to the community. Additionally, the facility will <br />provide impound services to local police enforcement <br />agencies, including the City of Santa Ana, the Orange <br />County Sheriff and the California Highway Patrol. <br />2. Will the proposed use under the circumstances of the particular <br />case be detrimental to the health, safety or general welfare of <br />persons residing or working in the vicinity? <br />• <br />The proposed truck terminal and impound yard will not be <br />detrimental to persons residing and working in the area as <br />mitigation measures, including perimeter fencing and water <br />quality inlets, have been required in order to reduce the <br />impacts generated from the site. <br />Resolution No. 2003-27 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
