The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds,
determines and declares as follows:
A. Conditional Use Permit No. 2002-24 came before the Planning
Commission of the City of Santa Ana for a duly noticed public hearing on
January 13, 2003.
. B. Conditional Use Permit No. 2002-24 has been filed with the City of Santa
Ana seeking to allow an addition to a church facility at 2530 West Warner
Avenue. The addition involves the construction of a lunch hall and lobby
area to the existing temple building. A conditional use permit is required
per Section 41-232.5 and Section 41-590 of the Santa Ana Municipal
Code for a church and accessory church buildings in the Single-Family
Residence/Planned Residential Development (R1-PRD) district.
C. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-638 authorizes the Planning
Commission to grant a conditional use permit upon making certain
findings.
Will the proposed use provide a service or facility which will
contribute to the general well being of the neighborhood or
community?
The proposed lunch hall will contribute to the well being of
the surrounding neighborhood by mitigating any future noise
impacts with the temple use. Additionally, conditions of
approval have been added to the proposal to mitigate any
traffic impacts to the surrounding area, as the uses will be
non-concurrent and should not generate additional vehicular
• traffic.
Resolution No. 2003-01
