Commissioner Cribb <br />• Commented on inquiries he had received from residents regarding proposed <br />project on East Washington. Ms. Haluza recommended that residents with <br />questions should be referred to the planning staff. <br />• Expressed that houses at Flower Street from Civic Center to Washington <br />Street, on the west side, may have illegal occupancy in the garages. <br />Commissioner Nalle <br />• Inquired as to status of construction at house at Flower and Riviera. <br />Commissioner Gartner provided an update. <br />Commissioner Gartner <br />• No Comments <br />Commissioner Lutz <br />• Commented on recent attendance at the Planning Directors Forum, stated <br />that Santa Ana needs to continue positive communication of its activities to <br />the region. <br />Vice Chair Leo <br />• Encouraged City Council to find funding for a general plan update. <br />• Requested an informational presentation and handout for the Commissioners <br />regarding laws and issues relating to residential overcrowding. Mr. Trevino <br />commented on pro-active enforcement. <br />• Agreed with Commissioner Lutz to encourage better promotion for the City of <br />Santa Ana. Stated that the City was referenced in the Orange County <br />Business Journal and at BIA meetings. <br />• Commented on the relocation of Vietnamese refugees from the Philippines to <br />Orange County. <br />7. Excuse of Absences <br />Commissioner Nalle moved to excuse the absence of Commissioner Rodriguez; <br />the motion was seconded by Commissioner Lutz and was unanimously approved <br />by the Commission. <br />8.
