Staff Comments <br />Planning Manager Trevino informed the Commission that the City Place <br />hearing is scheduled for October 25, 2004. He also noted that the <br />Environmental Impact Report is scheduled for release next week. <br />5. Planning Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Lutz <br />• Requested an update of numerous Code Enforcement issues at the <br />shopping center at 17th Street between Jefferson and Ross. <br />Vice Chairman Leo <br />• Requested that the public be informed about the density of the City <br />Place project in terms of it being substantially lower than the previously <br />approved project. <br />• Thanked staff for their work on the Kohl's and Target projects. <br />• Requested an update on the One Broadway project. Chief Assistant <br />City Attorney Kaufman reviewed the options under consideration with <br />the City Council. <br />Commissioner Cribb <br />• Encouraged an update to the General Plan for the City of Santa Ana. <br />• Requested cleanup of the Two Hutton Center food court. <br />• Requested cleanup of the landscape area at Edgewood and Main <br />Streets, specifically the debris in the planted areas. <br />• Requested a review of landscaping for CVS Pharmacy and Santiago <br />Villas as the landscaping at these sites appear minimal. <br />• Requested an evaluation of the funding for the Starbucks art piece at <br />17th and Tustin. <br />• Recommended a study session regarding the vision of the city. <br />• Attended the neighborhood meeting for the City Place project and <br />noted community support. <br />• Also requested an update on Code Enforcement's follow up for the <br />shopping center at 17th Street between Ross and Jefferson <br />Commissioner De La Torre <br />• No comments <br />Planning Commission Minutes 5 October 11, 2004 <br />
