Appendix I, Patio Covers <br />Appendix J, Grading <br />SECTION 2: That section 8 -90 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended such <br />that it reads as follows: <br />Sec. 8 -90. Board of appeals (Volume 1, Section 113). <br />Section 113 of Volume 1 of the building code is deleted. <br />SECTION 3: That section 8 -94 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended such <br />that it reads as follows: <br />Sec. 8 -94. Permits required (Appendix Chapter 1, Section 105). <br />Section 105.1 of Appendix Chapter 1 of the building code is amended to read as <br />follows: <br />105.1 Permits required. No building or structure regulated by this code <br />shall be erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, <br />improved, removed, converted, demolished or maintained unless a <br />separate permit for each building or structure has first been obtained from <br />the building official. <br />SECTION 4: That section 8 -95 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its <br />entirety: <br />Sec. 8 -95. Reserved. <br />SECTION 5: That section 8 -96 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended such <br />that it reads as follows: <br />Sec. 8 -96. Time Limitation of Application (Appendix Chapter 1, Section 105.3.2). <br />Section 105.3.2 is amended to read as a follows: <br />Sec. 105.3.2. Time limitation of application. An application for a permit for <br />any proposed work shall be deemed to have been abandoned 180 days <br />after the date of filing, unless the permit has been issued; except that the <br />Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a <br />period not exceeding one hundred and eighty (180) days upon request by <br />the applicant showing that circumstances beyond the control of the <br />applicant have prevented action from being taken.
