Public Comments <br />Patricia McGuigan, thanked the Commission for their consideration regarding <br />Rockharbor Church. She also noted that the property at 3312 W. First Street is <br />being used as a used car lot. <br />James Kendrick, noted the arts community is a sign of a place where young <br />adults would want to be. <br />4. Staff Comments <br />None <br />5. Planninu Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Lutz <br />• Noted that the property on 17th Street between Ross and Durant had been <br />hit with graffiti over the weekend and requested that the police department <br />investigate. <br />• Trash and litter at the above site has not improved. Please have staff <br />investigate. <br />Commissioner Cribb <br />• Thanked staff for their efforts on the improvements to S. Bristol Street. <br />• Requested that staff contact the owners of the storage grain facility at <br />Alton and Fairview and request that they have it painted. <br />• Noted that trench cutting is occurring on South Main Street and asked why <br />it was not done before it had been paved. <br />• Requested status update on the monopine that was installed at 1517 N. <br />Fairview Street. <br />Commissioner Mondo <br />• Requested an update on the large residential remodel project at Bristol <br />and Bishop. Ms. Nelson advised that staff is working on it and will provide <br />an update as soon as possible. <br />• Previous BRE tenant signage comment was intended to have staff <br />approach the owner to see if a permanent signage program would be of <br />benefit. <br />• Requested details of the issue concerning the property at 1302 E. <br />Fourteenth Street prior to the item appearing again on the Commission <br />agenda. <br />Commissioner Sinclair <br />• Noted that the lot located at 1302 East Fourteenth Street has shopping <br />carts and trash on it and requested that staff work with the owner to have <br />it cleaned up. <br />• Asked why the palm trees in the median on Bristol near Memory Lane are <br />not lit for night viewing. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES 5 August 11, 2003 <br />
