COMMISSIONER COMMUNICATION DISCLOSURE (REGARDING <br />AGENDIZED PROJECTS) <br />None. <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br />F. 22 FREEWAY LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS <br />John Garcia, OCTA Program Manager provided an overview of the project, past <br />Board actions that have been taken, and the current status. He outlined Caltrans <br />role and responsibilities, project costs, budget, and funding. Discussion was held <br />regarding the actions taken due to the State budget crises and options available, <br />bidding, and selection process. <br />Gary Adams, Project Manager with Parsons Transportation, provided an update <br />of actions taken concerning aesthetics. He outlined the priorities, establishment <br />of theme and concepts and how they were selected, and the major artscape <br />elements. Discussion was held regarding pilasters, sound walls, and retaining <br />walls. He noted that options were available to the city to upgrade areas such as <br />entryways and landscaping. Discussion was held regarding City Drive exit ramps <br />and the minimum operating segment. . <br />G. PROJECT UPDATE <br />Vince Fregoso, Senior Planner, provided an update on Armstrong Ranch and <br />noted that the grand opening had been held last week. He also provided a status <br />update on Vantage Townhomes, the Mola Project, the Nexus Project, Main <br />Street Concourse, Sumerwood Homes, Mater Dei gymnasium and pool, and the <br />Auto Mall. <br />Joseph Edwards, Planning Manager, provided an update on the proposed One <br />Broadway Plaza project.
