COMMISSIONER COMMUNICATION DISCLOSURE (REGARDING <br />AGENDIZED PROJECTS) <br />There were no disclosures from Commissioners. <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br />E. PLANNING COMMISSION OBJECTIVES <br />Joseph Edwards, Planning Manager, provided an update on the objectives for <br />fiscal year 2002-2003 and proposed the following objectives for fiscal year 2003- <br />2004: <br />1. Be a key player in major development projects. <br />* State Court of Appeals Building <br />* Artists Village <br />* Bowers Museum Expansion <br />* First American Title Expansion <br />* Mola Residential Towers at MacArthur Place <br />* Main Street Concourse <br />2. Amend the zoning code to restructure the City's Commercial Zoning <br />Districts. <br />3. Complete the Transit village Specific Plan. <br />4. Update the North Harbor Boulevard Specific Plan. <br />Discussion was held regarding the Mola Project, the future of the Willard <br />neighborhood, and the Transit Village. Ms. Nelson outlined the next steps <br />proposed for the Transit Village. <br />The Commission requested that the following be included in the objectives for <br />fiscal year 2003-2004: <br />• Nexus project at Hutton Center <br />• Westside Town Center to be included in the Update of the North <br />Harbor Boulevard Specific Plan. <br />• Greenbelt/Alton Building preservation and adaptive reuse. <br />• Include multi-center non-conforming development standards in the <br />amendment of the zoning code. <br />• Study of the Willard neighborhood for higher land use potential. <br />• Study of Flower Park neighborhood. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES 2 MAY 12, 2003 <br />
