Authorize the City Manager to accept a Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Grant in <br />the amount of $19,200 and designate $4,800 in City funds required for the 20% match. <br />2. Approve the Appropriation Adjustment for the Cal-EMA - Hazardous Materials Emergency <br />Preparedness Grant 2010 expenditure account. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The State of California, Emergency Management Agency has awarded the City of Santa Ana Fire <br />Department an additional Hazardous Materials Preparedness (HMEP) Grant 2010, for the period of <br />October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. The grant is for $24,000 consisting of $19,200 in grant <br />funds and a required 20% ($4,800) in matching funds. The grant is for the development or updating of <br />an emergency response plan to mitigate potential incidents involving the transporting of hazardous <br />materials through the City of Santa Ana. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Approval of the Appropriation Adjustment will increase revenues in the Cal-EMA Hazardous Materials <br />Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) Grant 2010 revenue account (account no. 14615002-52000) by <br />$19,200 and appropriate same into the HMEP Grant various expenditure accounts (account no. <br />14615355-various).
