<br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR - <br /> COUNCIL ACTION <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> DECEMBER 14, 2010 <br /> TITLE: APPROVED <br /> E3 As Recommended <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING THE O Amended <br /> Q Or <br /> dinance on 1s` Reading <br /> NOVEMBER 2, 2010 GENERAL MUNICIPAL O Ordinance on 2n° Reading <br /> ELECTION RESULTS FOR THE ELECTION O Implementing Resolution <br /> OF CERTAIN OFFICERS O Set Public Hearing For <br /> CONTINUED TO <br /> FILE NUMBER <br /> CI MANAGER <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> Adopt a resolution declaring the results of the General Municipal Election held in the City on <br /> November 2, 2010. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The Orange County Registrar of Voters certified the results of the canvass of the Santa Ana <br /> General Election returns. Pursuant to State Elections Code 10263 and 10264, the City Council <br /> must adopt a resolution reciting the fact of the election and the results of: (a) the whole number of <br /> votes cast in the city, (b) the names of the candidates voted for, and the offices voted for (c) the <br /> number of votes by precinct, and (d) the number of votes for each candidate. <br /> The accompanying resolution and Exhibit A identify the results of the balloting. By adopting the <br /> resolution, the City Council declares elected the following individuals: Miguel A_ Pulido, Mayor; <br /> Michele Martinez - Councilmember, Ward 2; David Benavides - Councilmember, Ward 4; and, Sal <br /> Tinajero - Councilmember, Ward 6. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br /> Maria D.
