EXHIBIT 1-B <br />THE SANTA ANA ZOO AT PRENTICE PARK <br />The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park (the "Zoo") is located at 1801 East Chestnut Avenue, Santa Ana, California, <br />92701. The Zoo covers 20.5 acres including public parking areas, animal housing, exhibits, and buildings. The <br />Zoo handles 90 species with approximately 250 animals and 35 exhibits. Security is required to ensure the safety <br />of the animals, Zoo employees, and the general public. <br />POST INSTRUCTIONS <br />Purpose <br />To provide the Zoo with after-hour security checks as a deterrent against crimes of vandalism and theft, as well as <br />safety to City property and the Zoo's animal collection during the Zoo's closed hours. <br />HOURS OF ZOO OPERATION <br />Monday through Sunday (seven days per week) 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br />The Zoo is closed to the general public only two days each year; however, Zoo staff is still on the grounds to feed <br />and care for the animals: <br />December 25 Christmas Day <br />January 1 New Year's Day <br />Note: During days of extremely inclement weather, the Zoo Manager may decide to close the Zoo to the public. <br />PATROL AT THE ZOO <br />Nightly, seven (7) days per week, conduct one (1) security sweep through the Zoo's property perimeter, with a <br />tour patrol that includes eight (8) strategically designated locations, and includes an electronic guard tour system <br />between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. The patrols are to be randomly scattered each night with no set <br />time, to ensure maximum security coverage. <br />Contractor is to provide one security officer, unarmed, in standard full uniform and a functioning vehicle <br />displaying the security company's name in clear view on the vehicle. Security officer is to carry a cell phone or <br />mobile radio at all times for communication requirements. <br />Instructions are provided for contact procedures in the event of a security breech or concerns for the safety of the <br />Zoo's animals. Under no circumstance is aggressive action required. The security officer is unarmed and <br />required to call proper channels in the event of any unusual observation. <br />Daily reports of the nightly patrol rounds are to be submitted for review by the Zoo director's representative. <br />The Zoo holds the option to increase or decrease the number of nightly vehicle sweeps and the number of days <br />per week requested, with seven days written notification. <br />25B-11 9
