EXHIBIT A-2 <br />HE SANTA ANA ZOO AT PRENTICE PAR <br />The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park is located at 1801 E. Chestnut <br />Avenue, Santa Ana CA 92701. The zoo covers 20.5 acres including <br />public parking area, animal housing, exhibits and buildings. The zoo <br />handles 90 species with approximately 250 animals and 35 exhibits. <br />Security is maintained 24 hours a day to ensure safety of the animals, <br />the zoo employees and the public. <br />POST INSTRUCTIONS <br />PURPOSE <br />To provide the Santa Ana Zoo with after hour security checks as deterrence against <br />crimes of vandalism and theft as well as safety to property and animals during the zoo's <br />closed hours. <br />HOURS OF ZOO OPERATION <br />Monday - Sunday Q days a week) 10:00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. <br />The Zoo is closed to the public only 3 days each year: <br />August 28 Special Event Day - closed to public <br />December 25 Christmas Day - closed <br />January 1 New Year's Day - closed <br />II. PATROL AT ZOO <br />Nightly, 7 days a week, conduct three security vehicle sweeps through the Zoo's property <br />perimeter, with walks to activating 8 TACO chips, between the hours of 6 PM and 6 AM. <br />The patrols are to be randomly scattered through each night with no set time to assure <br />maximum security coverage. <br />Vendor to provide one security guard, unarmed, in standard full uniform and a functioning <br />vehicle displaying the security company name in clear view on the vehicle. Guard to carry <br />a cell phone or mobile radio for communication requirements. <br />Instructions are provided for contact procedures in the event of a security breech or <br />concerns for the safety of the animals. Contact is made to the City Park Rangers up to 11 <br />PM nightly and thereafter to the Santa Ana Police Department. Under no circumstance <br />is aggressive action required. The security guard is unarmed and required to call proper <br />channels in the event of any abnormal observation. <br />Weekly, the TACO reports are sent for review of the nightly patrol rounds. <br />The Zoo holds the options to increase or decrease the number of nightly vehicle sweeps <br />and the number of days per week requested with 7-days written notification. <br />17
