Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez requested a continuance to the first meeting in <br />January, 2011, to allow time for further review. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL RECESSED AT 8:02 P.M. TO THE COMMUNITY <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEETING, FOLLOWED BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />MEETING, AND THEN THE SANTA ANA FINANCING AUTHORITY MEETING AND <br />RECONVENED AT 8:03 P.M. WITH SAME MEMBERS PRESENT <br />COMMENTS <br />90A CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS - None <br />90B CITY COUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Tinajero: <br />• Invited all to attend the City Council installation ceremony meeting on <br />December 14, 2010; <br />• Wished all Happy Holidays <br />Councilmember Benavides: <br />• Requested that City Manager provide City Council with a memo <br />explaining the process when the City undertakes public infrastructure <br />projects such as the recent Bristol Widening Corridor Project; interested <br />in ensuring that communication is shared with all <br />Councilmember Bustamante: <br />• Noted that Centennial Park is a nice park and asset to the community; <br />asked the City Manager to explore concepts to better benefit the park <br />such as including a concession stand/row boats, and profit share with <br />school district <br />Councilmember Sarmiento: <br />• Encouraged all to remember those less needy in our City as Christmas <br />nears, drop off toys at any fire station, provide someone with a gift or a <br />meal <br />Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez: <br />• Asked residents to shop in Santa Ana and drop off extra toys at Santa <br />Ana Fire Stations; and <br />• Echoed Councilmember Sarmiento's comments <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 19 DECEMBER 6, 2010 <br />1 0A-19
