• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-06 <br />kdo-04/13/02 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING SITE PLAN REVIEW <br />NO. 2001-13 TO DEVIATE FROM THE CITY'S DESIGN AND <br />DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR PARKING <br />STRUCTURES AT 1700 EAST CARNEGIE AVENUE <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission does hereby find, determine and declare as <br />follows: <br />A. The office buildings on this site have been previously approved. <br />Although the use is legal non-conforming, the office product is <br />compatible with the area and consistent with the recently adopted 55- <br />freeway corridor plan. <br /> <br />B. The applicant is requesting approval of Site Plan Review No. 2001-13 to <br />vary from the City's parking structure design standards by eliminating a <br />side yard setback, a pedestrian walkway, and reducing the width of a <br />plaza/courtyard. <br />C. Site Plan Review No. 2001-13 came before the Planning Commission for a <br />public hearing on January 28, 2002. <br />D. After completion of Environmental Review No. 01-72, a Categorical <br />Exemption was filed for this project pursuant to the California <br />Environmental Quality Act. <br />E. Based upon the evidence submitted at the public hearing, the Planning <br />Commission finds and determines that Site Plan Review No. 2001-13, to <br />vary from the City's parking structure design standards by eliminating a <br />side yard setback, a pedestrian walkway, and reducing the width of a <br />plaza/courtyard, are appropriate given the constraints of this site. <br />Section 2.
