• <br />kdo/11 /14/01 <br />RESOLUTION NO.2001-53 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT NO. 01-31 TO ALLOW A WOODWORKING AND <br />JOB TRAINING TRADE SCHOOL USE TO OCCUPY THE <br />BUILDING LOCATED AT 810 NORTH POINSETTIA STREET <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Conditional Use Permit No. 2001-31 has been filed with the City of Santa <br />Ana seeking to allow a woodworking and job training trade school use to <br />occupy the building located at 810 North Poinsettia Street, in the City of <br />Santa Ana, as a conditional use. <br />• <br />B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on <br />November 26, 2001, for Conditional Use Permit No. 01-31. <br />C. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-638 authorizes the Planning <br />Commission to grant a conditional use permit upon making certain <br />findings. <br />D. Will the proposed use provide a service or facility, which will contribute to <br />the general welfare of the neighborhood or community? <br />The approval of the Vocational Industrial Venture Alliance (VIVA) <br />job training program as conditioned will establish an educational <br />facility that will provide needed educational and vocational <br />opportunities for young adults living in the surrounding community. <br />E. Will the proposed use under the circumstances of the particular case be <br />detrimental to the health, safety or general welfare of the persons residing <br />or working in the vicinity? <br />The VIVA program is not anticipated to create any detrimental <br />impacts to the persons residing or working in the area as all <br />functions will be conducted within the enclosed building. <br />• <br />F.
