Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Renew a contract with Enterprise Fleet Services for leasing and rental of vehicles for a two-year <br />period in the annual amount not to exceed $150,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Santa Ana Police Department leases vehicles for the Special Investigations Division surveillance <br />program. Leasing a variety of vehicles allows them to be interchanged, in order to maintain <br />anonymity and safety of the police officers. <br />On January 5, 2009, the City Council awarded a contract to Enterprise Fleet Services for a two-year <br />lease period with provision for one two-year lease renewal covering a maximum of 20 vehicles. The <br />vendor has performed satisfactorily during the past contract period and has agreed to renew the <br />contract offering new vehicle leases based on the same rate structure. In addition, rental vehicles are <br />used throughout the City on a daily and/or weekly basis. Staff recommends the final renewal of the <br />contract. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the Police Contract Service - Professional account (no.01114445-62300). <br />Paul M.
