Set Public Hearing For <br /> CONTINUED TO <br /> F <br /> FILE NUMBER <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br /> Renew the contract with Williams & Maher, Inc. for electrical services in an annual amount not to <br /> exceed $150,000. <br /> <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> <br /> The City maintains in excess of 50 buildings including Fire stations, recreation and senior <br /> centers, park restrooms, libraries, as well as City Hall, the Police facility and the Corporate Yard. <br /> Electrical services are required at times by all City departments for the purposes of rewiring and <br /> relamping, installation of outlets, and general electrical maintenance. Occasionally, critical <br /> electrical failures require an immediate response to maintain safety or vital operations. The <br /> contract for electrical services provides for both maintenance and emergency services for all City <br /> departments. <br /> On June 5, 2006, the City Council awarded a contract to Williams & Maher, Inc. for a two-year <br /> period with provision for three, one-year renewals. The vendor has performed satisfactorily <br /> during the past contract period and has agreed to renew the contract without an increase in <br /> pricing.
