ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW NO. 97-126 AND SITE PLAN REVIEW NO 98-04 <br />Filed by Nexus to allow the construction of two office buildings totaling 424,654 squaze feet located <br />at 1 Majestic Drive in the Specific Development 43 zoning district. <br />Ms. Uptegraff informed the Commission that the adjacent neighborhood had just raised some issues <br />of concern with the proposed project and requested the Commission continue the project for two <br />weeks. <br />Motion to continue Environmental Review No. 97-126 and Site Plan Review No. 98-04 for two <br />weeks. <br />n <br />MOTION: Nalle SECOND: Solorio <br />AYES: Mondo, MacDowell, Doughty, Nalle, Solorio, and Cribb <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Verino <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />I. Comments from the Executive Director. <br />Ms. Uptegraff explained the rationale behind General Plan Amendment No. 98-OS and the collection <br />of a fee to fund a master study which would identify the impacts related to increased FAR's. She <br />indicated the primary concern had to do with the City's infrastructure capacity and in particulaz, the <br />City's sewer system. Staff would collect an appropriate fee to determine the infrastructure capacity <br />and determine whether or not the infrastructure could accommodate increased FAR requests. <br />J• Comments from Planning Manager. <br />There were no comments. <br />[_ <br />K. Comments from the Planning Commission. <br />Commissioner Cribb requested staff to investigate the code compliance of the advertising at Vista <br />Paint; and informed staff that there were still advertisements for the Harvest Crusade off of the 55 <br />freeway. <br />Commissioner Solorio indicated that he had been contacted by two individuals regarding the South <br />Coast Terrace condominium project; the parties were asking if parallel parking could be provided at <br />the site and if not, what the actual dimensions of the street were necessary in order to accommodate <br />additional parking; and he requested staff to investigate the flood problems that occur every time it <br />rains at 300 East Adams and if staff could address the dilapidated flood channel areas on Sunflower <br />near Bristol. <br />Commissioner Mondo requested that the Parks and Recreation Agency ensure that Sandpointe Pazk <br />is cleaned after each Pop Warner events and requested that the Police Department provide additional <br />patrol in the Sandpointe Park area and increase enforcement of no lawn parking and permit parking <br />in the azea. <br />L.
