VARIANCE NO. 98-OS <br />Filed by RFA Inc. to allow a freestanding sign to exceed the height lineal footage and sign azea limits <br />' of the Santa Ana Municipal Code at Chevron gas station located at 1501 South Broadway in the <br />Community Commercial (C 1) zoning district. <br />(Continued by the Planning Commission July 27, 1998 to August I0, 1998) <br />LEGALLY NOTICED: July 20, 1998 <br />PUBLICLY NOTICED: July 20, 1998 <br />Mc Sergio Klotz, Associate Planner, displayed slides of the proposed project, presented the staff <br />report, and staff recommendation. <br />Mr. Bob Fiscus, applicant, requested approval of the proposed sign. <br />Commissioner Mondo asked if there would be any additional signage on the site. <br />Mc Klotz stated that there were Chevron logos on a canopy, pole sign, and at the gas pump areas. <br />Commissioner Mondo informed staff and the applicant that he would like to continue the variance <br />to allow staff time to review the conditions of approval for the gas station sign that was approved on <br />Grand and Fairhaven.
