PUBLISHED IN THE REGISTER: June 30, 2000 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />1. Recommend that the City Council approve and adopt a Negative Declaration for <br />Environmental Review No. 00-111. <br />2. Recommend that the City Council adopt an ordinance approving Zoning <br />Ordinance Amendment No. 00-06. <br />Mr. Bill Apple, Associate Planner, presented the staff report and recommendation. <br />Ms. Lori Smith, Fire Department, provided an overview of the proposal concerning <br />the storage and distribution of hazardous materials. <br />Vice Chairman Nalle opened the public hearing at 7:21 p.m. <br />Mr. Kirk Buttermore, local business owner, spoke in support of the project and staff <br />recommendation. <br />Vice Chairman Nalle closed the public hearing at 7:24 p.m. <br />Motion to recommend that the City Counci/.• 1) approve and adopt a Negative <br />Dec/aration for Environments/ review No. 00-111; and 21 adopt an ordinance <br />approving Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 00-06. <br />MOTION: <br />AYES: <br />' NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTENTION: <br />Doughty SECONDED: Verino <br />Nalle, Solorio, Doughty, Verino, and Cribb <br />None <br />Mondo and Richardson <br />None <br />3. Comments from the Planning Commission. <br />Commissioner Cribb <br />• Commented regarding the Tuff Shed code violations. <br />• Expressed his appreciation to staff for the work performed on the Broadway <br />overpass and requested staff use any possible influence it had to obtain <br />improvements at Bristol and LaVeta. <br />4 <br />
