CONDTTIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 98-22 <br />Filed by Jodika Enterprises to allow adrive-through window service at a Taco Bell restaurant located at <br />1229 East Seventeenth Street in the Planned Shopping Center (C4) zoning district. <br />LEGALLY NOTICID: February 28, 1999 <br />PUBLICLY NOTICID: February 24, 1999 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 98-22 as conditioned. <br />Mc Vince Fregoso, Senior Planner, presented the staff report and recommendation. <br />Mr. Dick Armstrong, representing Taco Bell, stated that he was available to answer any questions from the <br />Commission. <br />Commissioner Richardson asked if the trellis area would be landscaped and commented that he would be <br />interested in seeing bougainvillea on the trellis area. <br />' Mr. Phillip Gilbert, the project architect, stated that the plans did not indicate landscaping on the trellis, <br />however, he could include landscaping on the detailed plans. <br />Commissioner Cribb inquired as to whether the applicant was planning to include mature trees at the site and <br />if the applicant objected to including additional palm trees at the site. <br />Mr. Gilbert stated that no trees were planned on the site except for the street trees required. <br />Mr. Fregoso stated that the trees and landscaping selected for the site had been discussed with the City's <br />Landscape Architect and met the City's minimum landscaping standazds. <br />Mc Kenneth Adams, Planning Manager, stated that if the Commission wished to augment the landscape <br />component, then appropriate findings would need to be crafted and he suggested that the Commission <br />continue the item for two weeks to allow staff adequate time to prepaze the findings. <br />There were no public comments regarding Conditional Use Permit No. 98-22. <br />Motion to continue Conditional Use Permit No. 98-22 to March 22, 1999. <br />MOTION: Nalle SECONDED: Solorio <br /> AYES: Verino, Mondo, Nalle, Doughty, Solorio, Cribb, and Richardson <br /> NOES: None <br />' ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAINED: None <br />2.
