APPEAL OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S ACTION NO. 2001-01 (CUP 95-11) <br />Filed by Noraima Chirinos and the Concerned Residents and Merchants of <br />Downtown Santa Ana to appeal the decision to allow modifications to the <br />conditions of approval for Conditional Use Permit No. 95-11 for Shelly's <br />Courthouse located at 400 West Fourth Street. <br />PUBLISHED IN THE REGISTER: March 30, 2001 <br />PUBLICLY NOTICED: March 30, 2001 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />C <br />Adopt a resolution approving the modifications to the conditions of approval for <br />Conditional Use Permit No. 95-11. <br />Sergio Klotz, Associate Planner, presented the staff report and recommendation. <br />Chairman Mondo opened the public hearing at 7:12 p.m. <br />Ms. LaVerna Gilbert, Business Owner, spoke in support of conditions. <br />Ms. Noraima Chirinos, Applicant, spoke in opposition of modifying the conditions. <br />The following individuals spoke in opposition of modifying the conditions: <br />America Bracho, Gerry Balcazar, Jazmin Sanchez, Priscilla Monserrate- <br />Sanders, Ramiro Cervantes, Jaime Vega, Samuel Romero, Adela Montanez and <br />Tony Chairez. <br />The following individuals spoke in support of the modified conditions: James <br />Kendrick, Randy Au, Tim Rush, Art Lomeli, Erin Prangley, Laura Garcia, and <br />Michael Macres. <br />Chairman Mondo closed the public hearing at 8:06 p.m. <br />u <br />Commissioner Richardson requested that staff review the proposed conditions. <br />Mr. View discussed and reviewed conditions. <br />7:07 P.M. <br />Commissioner Leo inquired on the number of ABC Licenses issued in the census <br />tract.
