RECOMMENDATION: <br />Deny Historic Register No. 2009-02 to remove the McGowan House, HRC No. <br />2004-03 and HRCA No. 2004-03, categorized as Landmark from the Santa Ana <br />Register of Historical Properties. <br />Associate Planner Lynnette Perry presented the stalff report and <br />recommendation. <br />' A letter from George E. Britton Jr., in support of recommendation, was provided <br />to the commission. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Jane Lewis, with Lewis Design & Steichen and representing the applicant, <br />provided a presentation to the commission showing the structure as an altered <br />Victorian farmhouse as well as the structure altered into a Colonial Revival style. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commission discussion ensued regarding allowable modifications to the <br />structure.
