She commented on an article regarding the Joseph Eichler <br />homes in the City of Orange that are not historically designated but recognized for <br />unique architectural merit within the mid-century category of homes in California. <br />Associate Planner Soboleske informed the Commission of the housing element <br />application for the 2008 Certified Local Government Grant ($25,000). The application is <br />required in order to complete a Historic Preservation Element which will be included <br />with the city's general plan. She commented on completion of the Mid City -Madison <br />Park surveys with extensive outreach to the neighborhood. She indicated that staff <br />continues to familiarize the property owners with the historic preservation process. <br />Commission Secretary reminded the commissioners to submit the Form 700 to the <br />Clerk of the Council as soon as possible. <br />4. Historic Resources Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Mill <br />• Commented on a February 29 Orange County Weekly article regarding a <br />property on the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties with notices of <br />violations.
