Quarterly Report for Housing <br />Choice Voucher Program: <br />July 2010 -September 2010 <br />December 20, 2010 <br />Page 4 <br />Participating families pay a portion of their monthly rent based upon their income and the payment <br />standard for their unit. The Housing Authority pays the difference between the tenant portion and <br />the contract rent. This payment is the Housing Assistance Payment (HAP). <br />The average HAP for July through September 2010 was $887. <br />Production <br />HQS Inspections <br /> 160 <br />Each assisted unit must be Za.o <br />inspected at least annually to izo <br />ensure it meets the Housing Quality goo <br />Standards (HQS} in compliance with so <br />federal guidelines. From July to <br />September, a total of 262 inspections so <br />were 40 <br />performed. Chart 7 illustrates the z0 <br />number of inspections performed ° <br />monthly since June 2010 <br />Re-certifications / Interims <br />Each year, the Housing Authority must re- <br />certify each participating family to ensure <br />compliance with program eligibility. ]n Boa <br />addition, when a participant's income zsa <br />changes, an interim examination must be <br />performed.
