C. HISTORIC PROPERTY PRESERVATION AGREEI,AENT NO.2006-01 <br />Filed by the City of Santa Ana to execute an agreement with Glenn William <br />Robertson and Jane Adair Robertson for the property located at 2419 North Bonnie <br />Brae (D. R. Ball House). <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />' Recommend that the City Council direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize <br />the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Glenn <br />William Robertson and Jane Adair Robertson for the structure at 2419 North Bonnie <br />Brae Place. <br />* * * END OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br />BUSINESS CALENDAR <br />C. <br />There were no disclosures from Commissioners. <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br />E. AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO.2005-09 RENAISSANCE SPECIFIC PLAN <br />UPDATE <br />Lucy Linnaus, Associate Planner, provided background information on the various <br />outreach meetings, discovery workshops and weeklong design charrette for the <br />Renaissance Specific Plan adding they identified five major areas that include the <br />' Civic Center, Downtown, Lacy and Logan neighborhoods and the rail station. Ms. <br />Linnaus further discussed the plan for Santa Ana's core, infill and restoration <br />opportunities, provided examples, discussed the timeline noting they are now <br />presenting to various boards and commissions to receive comments and <br />suggestions. Ms. Linnaus then introduced Andrea Humberger from Historic <br />Resources Group who presented their preliminary findings from the survey they <br />conducted. <br />Chairman Cook-Giles suggested identifying a couple of blocks for relocated historic <br />homes. <br />Commissioner Chinn noted concern on traffic and high concentration in the area <br />asking the consultant to give attention to public access through the buildings rather <br />than around the buildings creating a barrier and noted the importance of the <br />boundaries for the historical districts. <br />Commissioner Lutz noted approval for creating a historic district and further noted <br />downtown areas must be architecturally sensitive and not play against historic <br />buildings. <br />Jackie Delter inquired and noted concern on moving the heavy industrial area from <br />one side of the railroad tracks to the other side which is residential. <br />G.
