C. HISTORIC EXTERIOR MODIFICATION APPLICATION NO. 2005-03 <br />(Conh'nued by Historic Resources Commission: August 4, 2005 to September 1, 2005 Public Hearing closed on Augusf <br />4, 2005) <br />Filed by Steven J. Dzida requesting to allow construction of a kitchen and <br />storage area addition to the rear of the historic property located at 316 South <br />Cypress Street (Huff-Sleeper House). <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Adopt a resolution approving a Certificate of Appropriateness for Historic Exterior <br />Modification Application No. 2005-03. <br />Hally Soboleske presented the staff report and recommendation. She reviewed <br />the specific changes proposed for the structure with the new addition. <br />Commission discussion ensued regarding the rear elevation and the introduction <br />of solar tubes, the welcome change of a wood railing on the front of the house <br />and applicant's collaboration with City compliance.
