J. Historic Resources Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Schaefer <br />Inquired as to when West Floral Park will be surveyed. Staff indicated <br />West Floral Park is scheduled for first week in December followed by Jack <br />Fisher Park. <br />Commissioner Kings <br />In the context of the policy discussion regarding listing of historical <br />properties, Commissioner Kings encouraged Commissioners to be <br />ambassadors in their neighborhoods to welcome new residents. <br />Commissioner Corpin <br />Commented on the policy of the new design guidelines and training for <br />new Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Chinn <br />Reported that the Heritage Coalition of Southern California met at the old <br />Courthouse on October 28, 2004. Thanked Santa Ana Preservation <br />Society for opening the Howe-Waffle House. <br />Noted he did a presentation regarding the One Broadway referendum <br />process during the Orange County walking tour of the City. <br />• Requested an update on the Loan Program. Staff indicated that Wayne <br />Curl at 1225 N. French Street processed his application and hired a <br />contractor. Staff also noted other applications are underway. <br />Noted that home tour programs denote those homes that participate in the <br />Mills Act and that this promotes placement on the register. <br />Requested copy of One Broadway Plaza Cultural Resource Mitigation <br />Measures. <br />• Requested information regarding North Broadway Corridor Design <br />Standards from last year. <br />Requested review of potential grant funding under Proposition 40 Grants <br />for Historic Preservation. <br />Commissioner Bustamante <br />Commented on the importance of this Commission and thanked them <br />as he prepares for his newly elected assignment on the City Council. <br />Commissioner Gartner <br />Congratulated Carlos Bustamante on his recent election to the City <br />Council. <br />• Appreciated being on the Ad Hoc Design Guidelines Committee. <br />Chairman Giles <br />• Suggested insertion of the home tour program with the application and <br />to note the neighborhood contact. <br />Requested the report from Ad Hoc Committee. Planning Manager <br />recommended an additional Ad Hoc Committee meeting to finalize the <br />Commission's comments. <br />Noted attendance for meeting in December 2, 2004, Commissioners <br />Giles, Gartner, Chinn and Lutz will not be attending. <br />' Requested investigation for code violations of the house on Pine Street <br />east of Main Street on south side of street, on register as Rectory of <br />Episcopal Church. <br />K.
