COMMENTS <br />2. Public Comments <br />Eugene Moriarty, owner of 2035 N. Victoria, advised the Commission that he did <br />' not want his home placed on the Historic Register and that he had arrived at the <br />May meeting after it had adjourned. <br />Marsh Tanner, attorney for Mr. Moriarty, noted that en application for appeal had <br />been submitted. He is requesting that the decision to place Mr. Moriarty's <br />property on the Register be reconsidered. <br />Chair Person Pro Tem Kings requested that recon$ideration of the property be <br />placed on the August 7, 2003 agenda. <br />3. Staff Comments <br />Ms. DeRosa <br />• Provided an update on work efforts in Washington Square and noted that a <br />neighborhood outreach meeting will be held at Wilson School on June 17 at <br />7:00 p.m. <br />• Advised that at the next Planning Commission meeting there will be a <br />discussion of infill projects in the Downtown and that the Historic Resources <br />Commission is invited to attend. <br />Ms. Nelson <br />' Advised that the Urban Land Institute Meeting and walking tour is scheduled <br />for June 24 at 7:30 a.m.and that the City wild cover the cost to attend. <br />Commissioners interested in attending should adWise Rosa Barela. <br />6. Historic Resources Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Gartner <br />• Noted that he had enjoyed the discussion regarding design issues. <br />Commissioner Lutz <br />• Noted that the Orange County Heritage Museum party was being held tonight <br />and that all were invited. <br />Commissioner Chinn <br />Noted that the Historic Loan Program had been in existence for two years <br />and that no loans have been funded. He requested that staff investigate <br />changes that could be made to the program to accommodate smaller repairs <br />or remodeling and encourage use of the Program. <br />Commissioner Bustamante <br />' Complimented staff for their efforts to make improvements to the City. <br />Commissioner Kings <br />• Wished to go on record that she believed there was an error with regard to <br />the decision to not number the plaques but would not oppose what had been <br />presented. <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION MINUTES 5 June 5, 2003 <br />
