Announced the Historic Resources Commission and Planning Commission holiday <br />party will be held following the December 5 meeting. <br />6. Historic Resources Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Chinn <br />• Noted he was pleased with the Planning Commission recommendation to deny the <br />Savon project. <br />Commissioner Coroin <br />• Noted she was pleased with the categorizations in the Eastside neighborhood. <br />• Requested that staff investigate and assist in preserving the church located at 525 E. <br />Myrtle which dates back to the 1890s adding the Minister is intending to sell the <br />property. <br />Commissioner Gartner <br />• Noted he was pleased to see that the United Auto Building is being restored adding <br />he is agreeable in having a special meeting. <br />Vice Chair Giles <br />• Echoed with Commissioners on the progress made on the United Automotive <br />Building. <br />• Requested that staff relay personal thanks to the developers of Phillips Hutton Block <br />for their excellent presentations made in advance of work performed further noting <br />the example on how the rehab process ought to work. <br />• Noted he visited the Planning Department web site adding he was pleased with the <br />historic resources portion of the site. Requested that when the register goes on-line <br />with the templates he has a link to the Claycomb Hause website. <br />Commissioner O'Callaohan <br />• Echoed Commissioner Chin's comments on the Savon project. <br />• Commented he visited and was pleased with the United Auto Building rehabilitation <br />and noted concern on property owners following the same rules as others on <br />obtaining permits for work performed. <br />Madame Chair Kinos <br />• Apologized to Commission on a letter she sent to the Planning Commission <br />regarding the Savon project signed as the Chair of the HRC, noting she was <br />representing her own position on the issue. <br />• Inquired on the status of the Design and Development Standards. Ms. DeRosa <br />provided update noting that staff is tentatively looking at routing to the Commission <br />early in January. <br />• Commented she was pleased with the United Auto Building renovation noting <br />concern that it be a quality project. <br />• Congratulated the Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society for their successful <br />Cemetery Tour and thanked them for their efforts in bringing back history. <br />7.
