PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />C <br /> <br />1. <br />2. <br />(Continued by the Historic Resources <br />2002) <br />March 7, 2002 to April 4, <br />Filed by fhe City of Santa Ana to discuss the notice of intent to demolish <br />three structures located at 1007-1009, 1015, and 1109 North Broadway and <br />listed on the Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties as part of the One <br />Broadway Plaza high-rise office project. <br />PUBLISHED IN THE REGISTER: December 21, 2001 <br />PUBLICLYNOTICED: December 2l, 2001 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Receive public comment and discuss the demolition of the historical <br />structures located at 1007-1009, 1015, and 1109 North Broadway. <br />Joseph Edwards, Principal Planner, provided a brief update and advised the <br />Commission that the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) would not be released <br />for another 60 days and that staff was working with the developer to relocate the <br />structures. Mr. Edwards also noted that the applicant would not be performing a <br />sense of size demonstration but has prepared a video that is available to <br />interested persons. Madam Chair Kings requested that the Commission view the <br />video during the Work Study portion of the May meeting and that a copy is made <br />available to the Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society and other groups who <br />have expressed an interest. Commissioner Giles requested that the video be <br />shown on Channel 3. <br />Madam Chair Kings opened the public hearing. <br />A letter from the Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society requesting that the <br />public hearing be continued until after the draft EIR had been released had been <br />received. <br />Jo Ann Ramirez, Broadway Bulldogs, requested that the item be continued until <br />after the EIR is circulated. <br />Ben Grabiel, Santa Ana resident, spoke to request that a sense of size <br />demonstration be performed. <br />Madam Chair Kings closed the public hearing. <br />Mofion to continue the public hearing to June 6, 2002. <br />MOTION: Giles SECOND: O'Callaghan <br />AYES: Chinn, Corpin, Giles, Kings, O'Callaghan, Richardson (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Bustamante, Gartner, Schaefer (3) <br />ABSTENTION: None (0) <br />Filed by the City of Santa Ana to categorize the Martin House located at <br />1035 W.
