AD HOC HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION SWARDS COMMITTEE <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the creation of an ad hoc Historic Resources Commission Awards <br />Committee. <br />Joseph Edwards presented the staff report outlining the purpose and <br />responsibilities of the proposed committee. He suggested that the Template <br />Review Committee could also serve as the Ad Hoc Historic Resources Awards <br />Committee. Commissioners Corpin, Chinn, Giles, Gartner, and Madame Chair <br />Kings volunteered to sit on the committee. Discussion ensued on how <br />recognition would be made, who would serve on the committee, how often and <br />when it would meet. <br />Motion to approve the creation of an ad hoc Historic Resources Commission <br />Awards Committee and for the Template Review Committee members and <br />Commissioner Chinn to serve as committee members. <br />MOTION: Giles <br />SECOND: Richardson <br />AYES: Chinn, Corpin, Gartner, Giles, Kings, O'Callaghan, Richardson (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Bustamante (1) <br />ABSTENTION: None (0) <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br />D. BROADWAY HISTORIC DISTRICT STANDARDS /AND BOUNDARIES <br />Charles View, Planning Manager, presented an update. He outlined the suggestions for <br />which consensus had been reached on at the completion of the special meeting of the <br />Historic Resources Commission held on September 7, 2001. These were as follows: <br />District Boundaries: Modify southern boundary up from Civic Center Drive to <br />Tenth Street. <br />' Front Yard: Develop a Zoning Ordinance Amendment to the Professional Zoning <br />District that would require a 20-foot setback, or the prevailing setback if greater <br />than 20 feet on the block. <br />Li htin :Add language to encourage lighting of onsifie landscaping materials. <br />Graphics: Modify to better reflect the desired architectural features of the <br />structures illustrated <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION MINUTES 2 OCTOBER 4, 2001 <br />
