Comments from Historic Resources Commission <br />Commissioners Coroin and Bustamante expressed an appreciation of staff work. <br />Commissioner Richardson expressed his pleasure at being appointed as the <br />representative for the Planning Commission. <br />Commissioner Rankin hoped that the Commission would study the work of Fredrick <br />Eley. <br />' Commissioner Chinn <br />• Expressed concern about graffiti along Fourth Street. <br />• Announced the upcoming Floral Park Home and Garden Tour. <br />• Inquired about the status of the Santora Building and the proposed Memphis Cafe. <br />• Indicated that he would be participating in a discussion of Orange County history at <br />Bowers Museum. <br />Commissioner Giles expressed his thanks to Commissioner Chinn for informing the <br />Commission of ReStone which sells unused construction material on South Grand. <br />Madame Chair Kinas <br />• Seconded the suggestion of recognizing Fredrick Eley as one of Santa Ana's notable <br />architects. <br />• Reminded the staff and committee members of the upcoming Template Review <br />Committee meeting and offered a seat to a fourth Commissioner on the Committee. <br />• Recognized that the Council had approved funding for historic plaques. <br />• Hoped that staff would expedite the development of the plaque for the County <br />Courthouse. <br />• Requested that staff provide an update of the Broadway One Plaza project and its <br />environmental review status. <br />• Reminded Commissioners that there were outstanding requests (historic status of <br />properties developed by Roy Russell and as well historic significance of the older <br />' Barrios of Santa Ana) yet to addressed. <br />• Would like to schedule a focused discussion on the city's landmark structures. <br />• Would like to create a list of local architects. <br />7. Excuse of Absences <br />Motion by Commissioner Bustamante and seconded by Commissioner Giles to excuse <br />the absence of Commissioners Gartner and O'Callaghan and approved unanimously by <br />a vote of 6:0 (Gartner, O'Callaghan and Richardson absent). <br />8.
