Properties to April 14, 1999. <br />Motion to continue categorimtion of structures listed on th~ Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties to April 14, 1999. <br />MOTION: Corpin SECONDED: Brenes <br /> <br />AYES: Mazsh, Kings, Brenes, Berry, Chamberlain, Corpin, Cribb, Gartner, and <br />Simons <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Motion to form a eommittee group to review the catego on process and ranking system <br />for structures listed on the Santa Ana Register of Historic roperties. <br />MOTION: Brenes <br />AYES: Marsh, Kings, Brenes, Berry, <br />Simons <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Commissioners Marsh, Kings, and Corpin volunteered to <br />Mr. Adams informed the Commission that they would need to establish who would be on the <br />subcommittee and that the Commission would need t give specific directions to the <br />subcommittee as to establishment of a two, three, or four tired approach for the categorization <br />of the ranking system. <br />Motion to recommend that the subcommittee from a three tiered categorization defining the <br />three tiers as Exceptional, Key, and Contributive in their evaluation of historic structures <br /> <br />MOTION: Cribb ' SECONDED: Berry <br />AYES: Marsh, Kings, Brenes, Berry, Chamberlin, Corpin, Cribb, Gartner, and <br />Simons <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Commissioner Kings further requested a discussion regazdi g salvage rights and/or procedures <br />for buildings being moved or salvaged. <br />Mr. Adams stated that staff would like to create the categories first and secondly establish <br />priorities for the categories. Staff's intent was to modify the demolition process and would <br />address salvaging structures at that time. In addition, he sttessed to the Commission that staff <br />was trying to emphasize the urgency of establishing the categories. <br />6. Comments from the Executive Director. <br />There were no comments. <br />7. Comments from the Planning Manager and Staff. <br />There were no comments. <br /> <br />8. Comments from the Historical Resources Commissioners <br />SECONDED: Corpin <br />Corpin, Cribb, Gartner, and <br />on the committee. <br />Commissioner Marsh indicated that she had some suggestions as to the application for placing a <br />structure on the Santa Ana Register, which she would forward to staff. <br />Commissioner Cribb indicated that he would like the Commission to establish as priorities the <br />review of the structures Downtown and on North Broadway.'
