Mr. Adams indicated that the Workshop was specifically designed for th new Planning Commissioners and City Council members. However, staff always invited a d encouraged all Commissions to attend. The public meeting was opened to everyone. Commissioner Marsh invited the members of the Historic Resources Commission to attend and informational meeting on 7anuary 2Q 1999 at Bartlett Center in Santa Ana. A presentation regarding the national register program would be made by Marilyn Laurdy, Architectural Historian. The French Park his ,district which contains some of Orange County's finest architecture, including 132 contributing buildings and 32 noncontributing buildings. Commissioner Simons welcomed Commissioner Garmer an informed staff that he would like to meet in the Council Chambers for the Historic Resourc s Commission meetings from this point forwazd. Ms Uptegraff responded that the meetings w re set up to replicate the format of ' the Planning Commission meetings. However, she stated that there were more Historic Commission members than Planning Commissioners and R om 147 did not accommodate the Historic Commission comfortably and that staff would prepage the Council Chambers for future meetings. Commissioner Kings stated that she would be interested in $valuating historic standards on an area wide or district bases.
